I'm Sam De Gruchy, a BACP-registered Integrative Therapist offering therapy in-person (Brighton) and online (Jersey and UK-wide).
I work with clients who want to grow and deepen their understanding of themselves - to release troubling thoughts, memories or emotional blocks and experience themselves with more compassion and clarity at the centre of their own lives.
Therapy can be an honest and at times difficult process, but a worthwhile one that I hold with trust and care as part of a therapeutic alliance between us. We can aim up, whilst being patient, caring and compassionate with how things are for you right now - as well as being curious and empathetic towards where your difficulties may have originated.
It is a respectful, honest and collaborative space to be met where you need to be met, wherever that might be at this moment.
welcome
I am an Integrative therapist and I work relationally
One of the main benefits of Integrative therapy is flexibility and a dynamic approach. I integrate several therapeutic approaches into my practice, and each of these may naturally serve at different phases in your process, however short or long that might be. I support clients with a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, anger, depression, self-esteem, relationships, life direction, identity, existential and spiritual difficulties.
We are each of us relational beings, which can make life a joyful and loving experience, but also mean that many of our problems are experienced in relation to others, if not to ourselves. I place value on the relationship between the two of us as an opportunity for understanding, undoing and improving such difficulties - growing in trust and security in yourself and in relation to the world and others.
I believe in this meaningful space, and I look forward to collaborative work together that serves you in your unique process.
